Do Indians Need Transit Visa for Turkey?

Indian travelers passing through Turkey without leaving the airport’s transit zone don’t need a transit visa. But if you step out of the airport, even for a short time, you need a tourist visa, as Turkey doesn’t give out special transit visas.

To get an e-Visa, Indians must have a valid visa or stay permit from a Schengen country, the US, the UK, or Ireland. If you don’t have this, you must visit a Turkish embassy or consulate to get a sticker visa.

The Turkish e-Visa is good for 180 days and lets you stay up to 30 days. A sticker visa usually allows up to 90 days. Make sure to apply for the right visa early so your trip goes smoothly.
