Information on Work Visa for Turkey

If you're planning to work in Turkey, you'll need to apply for a work permit and visa at the nearest Turkish mission. Here's what you need to know:

Application Requirements:

Documents Needed: Your passport, a completed visa application form, and a letter from your employer.

Employer's Role: Your employer must submit additional documents to the Turkish Ministry of Labour and Social Security (MLSS) within ten working days after your application.

Processing Time:

The MLSS will finalize your application within 30 days at the latest.

Upon Arrival:

Once you arrive in Turkey, you must register at the local police department within one month to obtain your residence permit before starting work.

Passport Validity:

As of January 1, 2015, according to the Law on Foreigners and International Protection (Article 7.1b, No. 6458), your passport must be valid for at least 60 days beyond the duration of your visa, e-Visa, visa exemption, or residence permit.

Examples:

Example A: If you have a visa with a 90-day duration of stay, your passport should be valid for at least 150 days (90 days + 60 days) at the time of entry.

Example B: If you have a visa with a 30-day duration of stay, your passport should be valid for at least 90 days (30 days + 60 days) at the time of entry.
