Embassy Leadership

She noted more Kuwaitis visit Türkiye and invest in homes there. She also spoke about the embassy’s work to meet the need for Turkish language classes and to grow trade between the two countries.

Bilateral Relations

Turkey and Kuwait have had a close and varied bond, built on working together in politics, trade, and culture. Top visits and many deals have made these links stronger in recent years. The Emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah, joined the OIC meeting on Al-Quds in Istanbul in 2018. Also, the Speaker of Kuwait’s National Assembly, Marzouq Ali Al Ghanim, went to Turkey for President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s swearing-in ceremony in July 2018.

Cultural and Educational Initiatives

The embassy works to share Turkish culture and language in Kuwait. There are plans to open the Yunus Emre Turkish Cultural Center. This center will teach Turkish and run cultural events for Kuwaitis and others who want to learn.
