Bilateral Relations

The Emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah, joined the OIC meeting on Al-Quds in Istanbul in 2018. Also, the Speaker of Kuwait’s National Assembly, Marzouq Ali Al Ghanim, went to Turkey for President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s swearing-in ceremony in July 2018.

Cultural and Educational Initiatives

The embassy works to share Turkish culture and language in Kuwait. There are plans to open the Yunus Emre Turkish Cultural Center. This center will teach Turkish and run cultural events for Kuwaitis and others who want to learn.
